Minimum hardware rule

Use an ESP32-S3 with 16MB flash. Other ESP32-S3 boards can work only if the RS485 wiring, flash size, pin mapping, and power arrangement match the firmware assumptions.

Before you install

  • Confirm the board label says ESP32-S3-RS485-CAN.
  • Use RS485 A+ and B- to the machine/controller bus.
  • Power from USB for flashing, then panel power when installed.
  • Check whether the RS485 termination jumper is needed for the bus.
